On the other side of our patio screen door a pair of wasps are building a nest. They've attached it to the back of this lurid pink chair. The position offers an excellent opportunity to watch it form, but getting decent pictures through the screen is difficult. Setting up outside, I waited for them to return, and they soon did, setting to work once more on their nest.
The coincidental arrangement of the two wasps in the last shot lead me to make this image, swapping the green and red in the chair to make it better match the overall color scheme. The yellow of the wasps is so purely yellow that the color swap had virtually no effect on it, though the wings did change their shade slightly.
