Vinnie has developed a new bad habit... perching atop our flat screen computer monitor. It lets him be close to their nesting space just off to the right, and clearly it's perfectly designed for him to perch on, right?

That's one of the things I love about 'tiels, that FACE. It's so very expressive.

Oh it is! You can certainly tell when you have a hyper bird on your hands... or one that is up to mischief.

You don't know the half of it. Vinne was getting into the shelves where we had a CD-rom reader/writer and our modem and chewed through the cord and cable to the former and the cable for the latter, and somehow did not electrocute himself! Since then I've made bird baffles out of plastic folders to keep him out.

Haha oh dear, bad Vinnie! Rinni has chewed cords before.. only she chewed speaker cords on our old desktop computer. I dont think she liked my music. :(

Budgies are even more destructive, but they don't roam like cockatiels do, thankfully, so they mostly destroy their toys and perches.
