While out snapping pictures I spotted a deer disappearing over a nearby rise by a local park. I headed up, spotted it in the forest ahead, snapped a few pictures, and followed it into the woods, but lost it. I went back and forth along the treeline several times, and just when I'd given up and was starting back I spotted it again. Sadly most of them didn't come out well due to the heavy shadows and it moving randomly, but I got a few decent ones before it went down a steep slope in the forest. I followed but lost it amongst the scrub.

Thanks. The third picture I snapped captured it better. It was pretty skittish and quite elusive, but the amazing thing is that the little patch of forest I found it in was right next to a park with tons of people who probably had no idea it was there at all!
