I see! Well, this happened a few years ago when my family and I were going up to Yamba for our holiday. For the first 4-hour drive, we stopped at a motel at Taree, spent the night there and when we were getting ready to leave, I saw a small bird aviary that had different kinds of budgies, even the two gray ones and purple ones. And after the next 4-hour drive, we came to Yamba.
You should see him air dance. We have pictures and videos of him doing so; he'll start bathing behavior just SEEING water sometimes, and fluff out and dance about on my wife's shoulder and in her hair.
Wow, I'd like to see that! He's definetely not afraid of water, that's great. One of my budgies did almost the same! She loved water and was dancing and jumping around in the bowl until her feather dress was so full of water that flying was impossible.
