I am working on a new set of goggles for my wife. Thus far I've taken a pair of costume glasses, removed the arms, gold-leafed them (I still need to do touchups and add some more texture), and made a strap out of a belt which I wired to them. I will probably be adding some leather to the top, including the remainder of the belt.

Thanks! I still have more work to do on them. I am making these for my wife, since I have a set of my own, and I wanted to make hers significantly different, more like a driver's or aviator's goggles, or something you might see on a superhero. They're also made so they fit neatly over glasses.
