Description

This necklace is for my mother-in-law's birthday.  I took a chess queen charm and used fine silver wire and a sterling silver jump ring to attach it to the ring behind it and create a bevel, then used headpins to make the links around, featuring two kinds of citrine and brown goldstone.  My wife's mother is the head of a YWCA and a big proponent of women's rights and history, so I felt this was a good symbol.  She is also quite fond of fall colors.

Here is a closeup of the centerpiece.

I honestly like this piece ! It looks fun. This is definitely something I would give to a chess player of any rank. . The only things I would say about it that I find kind of off is the wire holding it in place. The wire feels like it could be a little bit more elegantly/cleaner. Also the stones used feel very natural and earthy, while the pendent and chess charm feel more man made and it clashes only the tiniest bit . maybe adding something more natural taking away something natural would help the balance. That's just me and you should be proud of what you made, its super pretty <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>
