No, they're not. They don't like anything near the nest, or even semi-near.

Yeah I've heard about that happening. I think I'll just save my money till I can take them to an avian vet to get sexed.

They're so small it's hard to tell really, I know. If you haven't seen or heard the two of them having sex, and if you were present when they did you'd know it, they probably are not fertilized.

Oh, that's not automatically a sign the third is a female. Many species of bird form same sex relationships. It's easier to get along with a friend or mate, even if that friend or mate is of the same sex; in colonies where there are too few males, female seagulls will band together in pairs, both getting fertilized by different or even the same male and then raising their chicks together; it's just easier with two, and birds are so socially-oriented, they do this. It's like an intimate friendship.

Well I have two boys and i'm pretty sure the other one is a girl because her and Frankie are glued to each other's side, and they like to preen each other and sing but she wont let him mount him. It's funny really because Frankie used to be so quiet and emo until Jupiter came along

we have eggs ourselves(3 eggs), but my birds are not that aggressive o__o

and its only Doffen(the male) who's nesting. Dusken tries when he is away for eating, but she cant figure out how to get the eggs underneath her stomach xD poor birdie. she cant be a good mum...but I dont think there's anything in those eggs anyway...it has been almost two weeks since the first egg was laid and I cant see anything inside those eggs.

Yeah, Maui used to be with Luna, but then Vinnie came along and took over. He actually figured out sex where Maui never did quite, but they've both been off the nest at the same time often enough that the eggs are not fertile (and we make certain of that a little, as we're not really equipped to raise baby cockatiels, sadly. Maybe some day).

She's sooo pretty :O I have a girl cockatiel and she's part pied/common gray and part lutino. So she came out a very light gray. I really want to breed her with my boy Frankie but she won't let him xD lol she's the one on my avatar

They're ALL ready to defend the nest. They have a bunch of eggs up there she's on right now, I have some new pictures not yet processed that show some of them. They'll never hatch, but they don't know that.
