Description

On the corner of 1st and Lincoln is Memorial Park. It has a nice mural on a wall, a beautiful clock, and a WWII tank. The tank is great for shots, needless to say.

This outfit features my Jackaroo Aussie water-buffalo hide hat (with crocodile band), Storm Goggles, Navy Blue Vest with Bronzewood Buttons, the Barbed Baron's Glove, Steampunk Brass Knuckles Glove, Pocket Compass, leather and chain armband, favorite brass goblin mask lapel pin, blue frilled tie, and brass wire-wrapped boot.

The 'blue frilled tie' might have been part of a cummerbund, a handkerchief, or a belt; I am not certain, but I found it made a perfect tie. I often use take scarves, belts, and handkerchiefs, and similar items and turn them into makeshift ties, ascots, and hatbands; they can add a nice, different, and rather old-fashioned bit of color.

The chain and leather armband is actually a belt I re-purposed. It can be worn on the bicep or forearm, or used as part of a more intricate rig.

The wire-wrapped boot is not wrapped purely for display; the sole came off years back. I've tried everything from epoxies to shoe goo, and it always comes off again, so I glued it back on and this time I wired it back on as well. If you choose to do so, use memory wire for the bits that go under the boot, to avoid having the wire broken by treading on rocks and gravel. I used brass and antique brass wire in two gauges largely to affect repairs and give the boot some real flair.
