Gear Link Vest Refurbishmentby *Windthin

Artisan Crafts / Textiles / Clothing

I like to take broken things and fix them or find new uses for them. Here I have a vest from a thrift store. It's a bit torn, and missing a button, and a pocket is mangled, but with some black felt, some chain link, and some pretty new buttons, now it's worth wearing! The pockets are still fully functional; the felt rectangles are sewn to cover up the tops and carefully sewn so that they do not seal them shut. Note the gears around the right column of buttons (on the left as seen here),

HelicaseHelio and I were always sitting on the stairs, chatting about the lamina and occasionally making snide remarks about ribosomes. There wasn't much for us to do. Our job was to simply be, and let the RNA scribble down the letters on our foreheads when they came around every once in a while. Helio was a G, I was a C. It wasn't exactly fulfilling, I suppose.
