Exploring Little Possums 9

We had an interesting day with the possum family this week; when I came in, I noticed there were only five babies, but I figured one was hiding or had passed away, as three had previously done.  Turns out one had escaped, a semi-regular event for the curious little marsupials.  We found it, safe and sound, under one of the tables, and returned it to its family.  Mother possum will be staying with the center; she was hit by a car and has a broken jaw that has not healed quite entirely, as well as seeming to be mostly blind.  Her young will be released into the wild when they're old enough.  Taken 7-11-14.
