the eggs Dusken laid 4 weeks ago were infertile, but she has laid two more this week, so maybe there are something inside them this time xD They have been mating like crazy last week..
With 'tiel eggs I am not certain. They're so small... I know that they can remain for a little while, even a week or two, BEFORE being sat on, but once they start to be incubated they must remain so almost constantly.
Awe :C Their like "Look mah! I can be a mommy too!" so cute xD I wish my birds would lay eggs. My girl won't let him mount her even though she teases him all the time xD! But i'm not sure if she's actually a boy.... (Shes the one for my icon) And I know it's possible for girls to have bright faces, but its uncommon :L Do you know how much vet's usually charge to sex birds?
I don't. If it's a normal coloration cockatiel, that is probably a male. It looks like a male to me, but I can't see the full body coloration to be certain. Also, cockatiels CAN lay eggs without them being fertilized, similar to chickens, and often do.
Well, though they have figured out sex (unlike Maui, who never did), there have been too many instances where both were off the nest for too long. They have the nesting behavior, and we let them do so to get it out of their system, and because if we do not they roam looking for a nest and Luna keeps laying too many eggs, which can harm her, but they're not the best parents, though they do try heavily.
