To make this I took an old bracelet, did a little wire-wrapping to attack the faceted copper beads, and then neatly attached the big copper fleur-de-lis at the bottom. As with other hair decorations I've made recently, this one is adaptable; the black rose pin shown here can be swapped out for any other hair pin or barrette easily.
Thank you. I've made a number of these in different styles and metals. I try to make them so that they can be attached to any hair pin or barette, in the interest of versatility. I love my hats; I have over 70, including top hats, bowlers, fedoras, slouch hats, berets, caps, and far more, many which I've modified, but my wife isn't fond of hats; there are only a handful she'll wear, and rarely during the summer, so I wantd to give her something she can wear in her hair that she can change around easily and stands out as different.
