To make this I took an old bracelet, did a little wire-wrapping to attack the faceted copper beads, and then neatly attached the big copper fleur-de-lis at the bottom. As with other hair decorations I've made recently, this one is adaptable; the black rose pin shown here can be swapped out for any other hair pin or barrette easily.

Ooh, I like it. It's definitely a change from all the tiny top hats around.

Thank you. I've made a number of these in different styles and metals. I try to make them so that they can be attached to any hair pin or barette, in the interest of versatility. I love my hats; I have over 70, including top hats, bowlers, fedoras, slouch hats, berets, caps, and far more, many which I've modified, but my wife isn't fond of hats; there are only a handful she'll wear, and rarely during the summer, so I wantd to give her something she can wear in her hair that she can change around easily and stands out as different.

Thank you. It's definitely my favorite thus far among the few hair baubles I've made.
