Why I Cook: My Wife's Fight With Food Allergies Food is universal.  It spans cultures and continents and countries.  We treat our friends and family to lunch.  We take clients and strangers out to dinner.  We buy treats for our pets, and maybe sneak them a little of what we're snacking on.  We feed the bird in the park, the fish at the ornamental pond, the monkeys at the zoo despite the sign.  Can you imagine anything so alien and ostracizing as somebody who does not eat?

When you cannot eat with others, it gets lonely.  You feel conspicuous and left out.  If you come along, you have that terribly awkardness of watching others eating.  If you don't, you know you're missing out on social

::chuckles:: I see that a lot. Several of the birds we have now look like birds we DID have. In particular, Dandy, Bruce, and Sparks all look like other budgies we had before, namely Rogue, Logan, and Kuuipo.

You have a point; comes from having seven birds. Hard to keep things clean, have to do regular wipe downs and all. I cropped it to feature Vinnie alone now.

We have a big complex of four cages, partially because we have budgies and 'tiels so they don't necessarily mix well in one cage if we need to lock them up. Also, we're kind of poor so we do our very best for our birds with what we can rig up. ::chuckles::

I'm not rich either, the colony cage is not more expensive than buying 7 indoor cages actually. ;)
But yes, every good owner will do their best for their birds' happiness and health. :dance:

Oh, we don't have seven, but we do have four, and they're interconnected so that they can move among them. We try to give them plenty to do.
