A Strange Grove 22a

The Founders' Memorial Library on the campus of Northern Illinois University has this sunken garden area that's always fascinated me. It seems like another world, with its trees, the strange vents (they actually are protective covers for spotlights), the knobby roots and wisps of grass peeking up through brickwork.
